Cabinet Refinishing

How do I know if Cabinet Refinishing is right for my kitchen? If your cabinets are showing their age but you like their style and just want a color change, or if you want a new look for your kitchen without a major remodel, cabinet refinishing might be perfect for you. It's also a great eco-friendly option. Our Cabinet Refinishing System can transform your cabinets with stained finishes, solid color "painted" finishes, artisan glazing, and distressing. We can give you the look you've been dreaming of!

How long does the cabinet refinishing process take? Most projects are completed in 4-5 days. Our Cabinet Refinishing process is streamlined and efficient. We have built our Cabinet Refinishing System into a mobile shop that comes to your home. We set up, we remove your doors and drawer fronts and bring them into our shop. We complete the finishing process in the shop and then move into your home and finish the cabinet boxes in place. We don't take up space in your garage, we don't set up shop in your kitchen, so most of the time you can still use your kitchen while we are at work.

How much does Cabinet Refinishing typically cost in Columbus Ohio? Costs range from $3000-$8000 depending on kitchen size, number of cabinets and finish complexity. Factors include prep work, color changes, and add-ons like glazing. We provide free, no-obligation in-home estimates tailored to your space—contact us for accurate pricing.

Is Cabinet Refinishing the same thing as cabinet painting? The answer is NO. We are not "cabinet painters." Although we can give you the "painted" look, we apply the same coating with the same equipment that cabinet manufacturers use which delivers a factory smooth finish on the doors and the frames as well as the durability of a catalyzed finish. Our coating is a waterborne polyurethane with a catalyst that hardens the surface to a durability exceeding the specifications of the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association for cabinet coatings. Our coating is eco-friendly, non-toxic, no fumes and no off-gassing like oil based materials. Unlike oil-based and traditional lacquer coatings, it does not yellow over time, so your color will stay true over time.

What colors can I pick? We have a wide array of designer chosen colors and finishes to choose from. From the classic white kitchen to a playful teal or traditional navy we have solid color choices that satisfy every pallette. A collection of custom, artisan finishes, and custom stain options complete our selection. Check out some more details here on our website or schedule an estimate today to see our collections and choose the finish that's right for you.

Cabinet Refacing

Is Cabinet Refacing right for my kitchen? Yes, if you like your current layout and cabinet boxes but want new doors, styles, or a modern update. It's eco-friendly, faster (similar timeline to refinishing), and transforms the space without demolition.

What is the difference between refacing and refinishing? Our Cabinet Refacing System utilizes the main elements of our finishing system, however new doors are made to change the style of your kitchen as well as the finish.

How much does cabinet refacing cost? Typically $5,000–$12,000+ based on size, door styles, and materials. Solid wood (not vinyl-wrapped) doors make it premium yet affordable vs. full remodels. Free estimates give exact quotes.

What kind of door style can I choose? We have 15 different styles of door and drawer front to choose from. Ranging from traditional styles with raised panels and fine, routed detailing, to transitional and contemporary options, we have a selection that is chosen by designers for its uniqueness as well as it's classic styling. If we don't have what you're looking for we can design a custom selection. Head over to our door style selection page and explore all the great options in detail!

Do you use vinyl or laminate to cover cabinet boxes? No, we don't use vinyl or laminate. Most cabinet boxes have real wood face framing, so we apply our refinishing system to the face frames to match the new doors and drawers, ensuring seamless results. If your cabinet frames are laminated we can still help! We install thin, 1/8" real wood, finish matched to the doors and drawer fronts, over top of the frames to match the rail and stile construction of the cabinetry. A real wood finish is preferred over vinyl or laminate, which can peel, fade, or de-laminate over time. Contact us for an estimate and to discuss your options.
